I'd pass her by and say
with a petty, whiny
negative story
"good thank you,
Spouting a perky "Hi!" as I passed
I could avoid the drama
One of the twins
her twenty year old grandson
went missing
Close to a month passed
a search party
deceased.
No foul play
suspected.
When we find life so
overwhelming and difficult
we can look to our neighbours
knowing someone out there
is dealing with something
even worse!
All we can do is have faith and motor on!!

This is my contribution to Paint Party Friday and 29 faces in Feb.
Finally after several years of wanting a better phone,
I will be graduating to android status in a week or two.
It's not the latest version but it's a good one!!
I'm excited about joining instagram!!
How about you, what's the happiest thing that

I like all your women! I especially like the one with really short hair...Arabella.
The happiest thing this week was finishing the 29 Faces Challenge! I usually start but don't always finish challenges.
Wow, so much pictures in one post. All of them are stunning.
HPPF and have a lovely weekend
Wow, what an interesting read this week. Negativity in life exists. Some have it worse than others. All we can do is try to stay away from negativity in order to not fall in that direction. I feel sad for this lady you spoke of. I'm hoping it wasn't a real story? In any event, loved your paintings and your words. Take care and thank you.
Love your post! And your art. We can choose how we want to experience our life (and there is always someone going through something 100 times worse than anything we are experiencing). A positive attitude is a wonderful thing.
Great post (and wonderful art). Happy PPF
Poignant post and wonderful art.
Welcome to the world of Instagram, too!

Happy PPF!!

Wow, beautiful ladies. My happiest moment this week realising Life is Good!
Oooh...instagram will be fun. Maybe I'll get there some day. Love this post. Your paintings are so amazing I couldn't possibly choose a favorite! There is so much to think about in your words. I think the happiest thing that happened to me this week was that I was able to just let go and act silly with my family. We've been pretty serious lately and it was good just to pause and enjoy the moment.
Love the faces, especially the one just below the words ** THIRTEEN YEARS PASSED**…omg… that face is too precious. Do you paint on paper or canvas? And that story… is it TRUE?! If so…wow. Amazing. You always give me a new perspective on things. And your work always makes me smile. xox (ps: have fun with Instagram) :-)
I think the faces this week are marvelous. I love the first one and the one that must be inspired by Cher with that nose :)
Life is good. I learned a while back, that when someone asks how I am - my answer is great, thanks and you? or I'm very well thanks, and you? Always with a smile. When I answer with a positive greater than OK, or good - it puts a smile on everyone's face - the asker and myself. You'll love instagram :)
Hi Giggles, your paintings again are colorful and lovely. Sometimes people carry burdens so heavy that they just can't say I'm fine, how are you? It's too bad your coworker didn't have a friend to confide in. A good friend can be a life saver. Your first painting in this post is absolutely gorgeous. Have a happy weekend.
Wow! you told a great story along with the faces. Best of luck with instagram pics. you are going to have fun with it.
How fun to look at all your ladies. I like the one with two women on the red background best, they look so different and so similar, like sisters.
Sometimes it's so hard to listen to whiny people, and sometimes it's an act of mercy to take the time to listen. What a moving post punctuated by so many complex expressions on the faces of nice women.
The happiest thing this week for me was a nice dinner with my adult son and my husband. They are treasures I try never to take for granted.
Great post!! I love all your ladies and the colours you have used!
Gee, what a story! I sometimes feel as if people that whine the most also have the most terrible things happening to them. And I'm not sure whether they "attract" it or whether it's just coincidence. Either way, very sad for her! On a brighter note: I love your faces this week! All of them, I can't even say which one is my favorite. They go very well with the story too! The second one is one of my favorites. I can just see her saying "hello, how are you" in a very cheerful way :-) Nice bright colours too!
We never know what sorrows or burdens people are holding. Your faces are fabulous. So full of life and depth and color. Happy PPF! I'm treasuring my daughter's ability to connect to the children we are visiting in Guatemala. She's amazing!
Love your faces. Each one portrays the story exactly as your words tell it.
The first portrait has some personality. And I think my husband is twice blessed. You are right about some people's lives being so much worse. Is that a true story, omg.
Wow, quite a story! Ii must be the hardest thing to lose and not to know, what happened to your loved one. Great faces, full of personality and individuality! And great colors! <3
You've been busy, Ms. Giggles! I love all the feelings you evoke through your work. Blessings!
You are very good at facial expression, these are all great!
xx
Terrific faces as always. So full of expression, each one tells a story.
Happy PPF, Annette x

Thank you for visiting me and have a great day!

great faces and morality tale behind this. Well it was a lovely day and I managed to escape for an hour to a new art fair..so that was the best bit of the week
The sad text is so contrasting with the exuberant faces... wow.
I love your faces, the colors and the feeling.
This week is was a thrill to see so much art, so many people happy doing the 29 faces challenge, and I want to thank you for being part of it, hugs!
Ohhh, WHAT a fabulous post! I LOVE all of your colorful characters - love the long face and bent nose - what a perfect face for her. And love the message behind it all. Definitely let us know when you join Instagram!! xoxo
Arabella is the favorite of mine! I love her red hair and the backgroundshading is amazing! xox Conny
Sad about the Twin. Her negativity no doubt affected him too. Good to choose up-building people who we spend time talking with. Lots of great faces to go with the story. HPPF
Hello Giggles..beautiful faces..all so expressive and full of their own unique story and energy....powerful! and so sad about the missing people..heartbreaking.
Thanks for always sharing your world..and your beautiful art!
Victoria
Visiting such vibrant and cheerful blogs as yours is the happy thing that happens to me every week :)
All of your faces are beautiful. And the story, I couldn't handle someone always being negative in their stories. I just can't. I don't need it in my life and try to avoid it. Maybe... that may not be a good thing. LOL.
Great works!
Is that real story? If so too sad!
Yes, negativity of people around you does affect you a lot even when you try to keep up your positive spirit... It happens with me many times!I do keep trying though!
Your faces all have come out so well...I loved the grave face as I can see a bundle of sorrow in her eyes hidden somewhere deep.
HPPF!

that is a strand of wonderful fun faces!
I was so into your story I had to go back and look again at the art!
If someone is miserable or rude I try to still smile at them or be nice - because we never know what is going on in peoples lives to make them act the way they do.
Was it a true story?
The best thing I did this week was go on a Fossil Walk and find a rather lovely vertebrae .... it made me jump up and down!!!! And to hold it and think that it is millions of years old is just so awe inspiring to me.
Have a great week

Such a sad story. I like your faces this week. Especially the first one!
Very traumatic post. I think you were right to avoid the negativity..she gave me a stomachache! I love all your various faces this week,in all their colors. They all have personalities. Were you thinking of their personalities when you drew them?
Wonderful faces!!! What a great collection.
I love all the faces, the story is so typical of today's people, we really never know what others are going through, therefore, judging others shouldn't be done by us. Really good post. (Instagram. . . had to google it. . . I have a tracPhone, so . . . won't work for me.) Blessings, Janet PPF
there are so many funny faces ! I love this post !
Wonderful and great faces!
