Devastation, degradation, humiliation
Harassment, horror, heroism

Illness, grief, trust
Broken cars, and marriages
We shared it all
Camping, beaches, parks
Ice-creams, picnics, shopping
We shared it all
Wine, flowers, Fashion
Laughter, wit, gossip

Secrets, silliness, sadness
Solace, sovereignty, patriotism

Books, movies, music
Stupidity, shallowness, shame

Opinion, opposition, angst
Worry, wonder, wishes

A letter,
A lashing,
Lanced
Severed
Forever
Then
Desolation,
Deprivation,
Mortification
Alone
