Sunday Scribblings " Design"

A bag I designed for my coupon clipping cupcake baking, music lover daughter!

Love, music, cupcakes who could ask for anything more! This canvas bag fits her coupon binder perfectly!

Sunday Scribblings prompt this week is  " Design"

I bet she was one of those annoying kids who always had their hand up first in class. The one who knew all the answers! I bet she was teachers pet too! Offering to clear chalk from the boards long before the instructor asked! Designed to serve everyone but herself. Rarely does her head hit the pillow for much rejuvenation. Instead she lets the day eat away her happiness one busy chomp after another. Warding off the warning signs. Headaches, skin rashes, aches and pains of preposterous dimension. Her heart skips beats while she skips along overwrought  with the  life she designed. Packed  to the brim with a million busy moments!

Isn't this so many women? I know I was teachers pet!  Most of us have  gone out of our way unnecessarily with the need to please at one time or another! Living life on a treadmill with no off button. Eventually jolted into reality by an illness, a death, an unmitigated unexpected crisis, forcing us to change. In that change we find our true self. The person we were meant to be before the need to  please bug took hold. That's when our true design is able to flourish! How have you designed your life? What would you change if you could?

Lovely post. Great coupon bag and a lot to think about. I don't think I would change anything - except bring back loved ones who met death way too early in life, though those traumas and tragedies shaped who I am today... Food for thought. Who would I be today if I could change this?

Interesting thought...I truly think I have made the changes I want to make in my life, one at a time as I think of them...

Love the coupon bag-and your piece. Sometimes we design our lives around things that makes us too busy to stop and smell the roses-or the cupcakes!

Love the bag.
The following story....guilty!
I was more the kid in the middle of the group that nobody noticed at all. I still try to please everybody, not successfully because I always give in, to my own detriment, to do so.

If you could change things in the past would you still be 'you'..sometimes it seems the list of what's right with your life is shorter than the mistakes..ho hum..a coupon bag would make me smile though! Coupons are used more and more in the UK..I reckon you could do a roaring internet trade..Jae

What a truly inspirational post. Even adding a few puzzling questions for us to ponder... and now off to discover my own designs.

I wouldn't change a thing. I'm where and what I was supposed to be. I've fulfilled many things I set out to fulfill. I wouldn't change a thing.

Have a terrific day. :)

The coupon bag is darling! It wouldn't fit my current life style, though, since my dear daughter-in-law does most of my shopping. Her personality is like the one you describe.

I don't know......thinking......if my jolt put me into reality, I don't like the reality. I think I would rather go back to people pleaser...or teacher's pet. The treadmill might have been a bit boring, but it was steady, and easier! :) Still thinking..........

That's an adorable bag! I think many women are designed just like you described, but we have to remember to take care of ourselves or we're no good to anyone. That is a hard lesson to learn.
