Easter Bunnies

Pray for peace,
far and wide
to which ever spirit
you abide
Henrietta original acrylic art journal page
Pray for friends
everywhere
pray for those
you can not bear
Chubby Bunny Original acrylic art journal page
Love the ones
who need it most
Forgive the ones
who need to boast
So many lessons
here to learn
Give the love
you need returned
Expect not,  where
 it shall come
Have faith
the process has begun
Hogan the original acrylic Bunny!
Grant love,
not to receive
but for the value
that you'll leave
Share love
at every turn
whether or not
it's returned!
Give a little
Or give  a lot
  give from the heart
  what you've got!
May be words of comfort
or a laugh or two
  something you made
something old or new

It may be pearls of wisdom,
 thoughts filled with hope
or  simple appreciation
or special ways to cope
 Need not be  grand
or monetary
 instead quite to
  the  contrary

 Well thought out
with good intention
a compliment
or kind  mention
Sandy the tweeter....acrylic art journal page!
 Pray for peace
far and wide
to the spirit
you abide
Pray for peace,
kindness too
A new direction
 long overdue!

My heart is heavy for the state of our world.
What was to be a happy post soon turned.
For all my European blog friends I have no words
I hope your loved ones are safe and you are safe!

Bunnies for our powder room. Simple acts of silly
can make me smile when life is so sad!
All week I was working on bunnies...and yesterday
Cupcake picked  up these whimsical towels
at the dollar store of all places... Thank you

Beardo and Cupcake in their favorite colour green
converse runners, actually makes me happy!
Unable to find hers in green, Cupcake used
acrylic mixed with fabric medium to paint  hers!
She even washes them in
the machine and they turn out beautifully!
Lastly I wanted to share what
was one of my favorite candies  as a child
Sponge toffee.
Here it's call Honeycomb toffee,
this is an easy recipe!!
We'll be making it for Easter!!
Since we ALL love it!
Happy Easter for all who celebrate!
May your celebration be filled with love and laughter!
May you all be safe and warm!
For those who are alone...do something
FABULOUS for yourself! You are so
worth it!!

Tell me something simple that brought you joy this week
during so much sadness!

Peace to you this Christmas

Sunday scribblings this week is " Manifesto" and while I am all about the physical and emotional well being of Children. Peace is what I aspire to Manifest in my life!

I have been known to sport peace signs, on bags, ornaments, jewelry, purses, and even shoes. It's more important to me than most people understand. Christmas is a wonderful time to recognize that many children live without peace in their lives. Substance abuse is more rampant during the holidays,  at the brunt of it are children living in volatile environments! The stress of Christmas escalates incidence of abuse inflicted on women and children. So while I enjoy my Norman Rockwell Christmas dinner  I'll say a prayer for Peace hoping children can enjoy a holiday without fear of turmoil. Over and above material items we all need a soft place to fall, a place of peace and love, where joy can be born!  May you all enjoy the security of peace in your homes this season!

Blog Blast for Peace and the painted umbrella

Charity umbrella done for developmental disabilities in Memory of Jayna Brearly.
Today is annual peace globe day, where bloggers unite towards making a more peaceful world!

Had he lived it would be my fathers 89Th birthday. Such a peaceful man and loving dad despite the fact he was not privy to one himself. He would be proud to know how peaceful my life is now, and how wonderful his granddaughter turned out!

My mother has long passed away.
She dreamed of a classroom
Where children were taught empathy.
She’d be sad to know there are a mixing pot of families,
many who rarely say a kind word to each other in the home
Let alone teach their children empathy
or kindness towards one and other

Despite sending our children off
Well equipped with hugs, kisses
a great lunch and  loving heart
Some children come to school
Empty, full of anger, sorrow, and disillusionment
There are those who believe isolating "good Children"
from  unfortunate victims of  chaotic unhealthy homes
Will  protect their kids
from being victimized, damaged or influenced

I believe that neglected children need our love
our support, our compassion, and understanding
They need us to build their self esteem
Teach them kindness, give them hope
for a peaceful future despite any turmoil now.
We need to be that good influence  in their life
 Connect and care
We need to step up and step in
Lead the the way by example
Because we can ALL make a difference in a child's life.
We can ALL work towards a better tomorrow
and a more peaceful world!

After all, Peace starts at home,
peace starts with you!

Too Sweet for Words

Do we fear our enemies more than we love our Children?
This vintage pin I picked up years ago at a flea market really defines how I think!
Since yesterdays post was too daunting and wordy today is a short post!
Check out this amazing video that a friend sent me. A very moving video well worth the couple of minutes it takes to watch!

Peace Please
If ONE Mother's child dies
then the war is not worth it!
Would you have it be your child?

I feel extremely passionate about the need for World Peace. Having lived for a time void of personal peace, I realized there is truly no monetary value to replace tranquility.

I have many symbols hanging in my home, a reminder how privileged I am to reside in a Country where Peace is possible. A lifestyle honed, taught, and mirrored. How can you make your lifestyle more conducive to Peace?

Some people thrive on chaos, so how much peace do you need in your life? What would you sacrifice for peace?

I believe Peace starts at home, with me, then reverberates into the universe. My father was a peaceful man, even when provoked he took the high road. He ate lunch with the shunned homosexual, he proudly displayed framed prints of children from all nations, and fostered loving sibling relationships between his own brothers and sister as well as my brother and I. I'm so blessed that I was raised with his liberal perspective. For me that's the foundation of a peaceful existence!
I'm excited at the prospect of a new day!

Old hope is rejuvenated
The world observes
awaiting transformation

With p
eace their salvation Angels sing an ode of love
adorned by wreaths of expectation

Carrying visions of
peace Unity,
prosperity, and recovery

Faith, and promise are alive
in the sparkle of a child's eye

in the heart of a young adult venturing out
In the mind of the weary warrior,

Hands and hearts join together
with compassion and respect
for
alternative views and lifestyles
Striving for harmony

Blooming beyond imagining
Nectar of the soul
spews promise
to achieve success

nurtured by love and peace!
