I thought these crocheted bags made of plastic shopping bags might be a good segue way from Sunday Scribbling. A great project to do in celebration of Sundays Earth Day! A few weeks ago I found a pattern links on Kate’s blog of how to construct these amazing little bags. I thought they were a nice metaphor solution for all the flimsy grocery bags we are often stuck with on a weekly basis! Imagine these as your new shopping bags!

This is a great way to recycle those bags, for sure and sure better than sending them off to become landfill.
What a great recycling idea! It looks really cool. I wish I could read a crochet pattern - I can (just barely) single and double crochet. Maybe one of these days I'll figure more of it out. Thanks for the cool idea!
Wonderful bag! Kate's blog is wonderful! I'm glad that you found the pattern on there! Wonderful work!

These are so cool! I love to crochet and when I find some time (most likely not gonna happen until we get moved!) I'll try these for sure. Thanks for the links.
Your crochet bag is so cool- and waterproof too! Did it take a long time to turn the bags into a ball of "yarn"?
That's a pretty cool project.
Great project - which alas, I don't have time to do. But I admire those who do! And I do carry my own shopping bag, rather than use the plastic ones here.
Very cool, Sherrie!
