Matinee Muse prompt for this week, " Not in my Wildest dreams"
Ten years ago
I couldn’t have imagined
My life
As it is today!
Creating daily
Art, poetry
Blog posts
I couldn’t have imagined
A peaceful heart
Acceptance
Unconditional love
I couldn’t have imagined
Being revered by my child
My brother, My son-in-law
I couldn’t have imagined
Relinquishing
Some independence
Feeling weak at times
Needing others as I do
I couldn’t have imagined
It being okay
Submitting to what is
I could not have imagined
Having art dreams
A sore knee
A fifteen year old car
Wearing glasses full time
Not wearing eye makeup daily
I could have never imagined
Being less humorous
Being more introverted
Than extroverted
Enjoying solitude
Not being with a man
Or caring if I was
But most of all
I could never in my
Wildest dreams
Imagined
Menopause!
Looky looky what the kids bought me from the flea market on Sunday!! About one hundred fifty dollars worth of art supplies for under twenty five dollars!!! Porcelain paint, transfer goop, blank post cards, paint, molding clay three of them, I paid ten bucks a few weeks ago for one! Texture medium, candle medium, paint extender a flat stamp, and a bunch of pigment...I have no idea what to do with pigment or how it works.....I will google search it though....anyone know?
It's a sad story though. The lady selling off the supplies was robbed at knife point while teaching an art class to young children. She closed her doors the next day and never went back. So sad....Pepper is a good people reader and felt she was sincere! They spent ages picking through the products they knew I'd like!
More exciting news! My friend Cookie Sunshine presented me with an "I love your blog" award yesterday!! I love, your blog too Cookie....very much!! Cookie is so sweet, I've really enjoyed getting to know her, through personal emails and her Cookie sheet!
Thank YOU very much!!!
Here's what I found out when I received the lovely graphic:
1. The winner can put the "I Love Your Blog" logo on her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you’ve nominated...
Seven blogs I really love! This will be fun!!!
I would like to pass this onto (in no particular order)...
7.Mennonite Girls can Cook! Yummy Recipes!

Oh my, I am honored. You are one of the first blogs I constantly check in with and it has been a joy. Keep doing what your doing. Boy are you going to be busy with all that paint. what a bargain.
Well thank you for the 'I love your blog award' and your kind comments..we are having so much fun with it!
Congrats on the award. I love your blog, too!
Once again you really got me with your poem....and I'm right there with you on most of those things. My life is nothing like I would have imagined ten years ago!
And YAY for all those cool art supplies! It's sad why they were for sale though....but if you make happy art from them then I think it makes it all better.
I love your "Ten years Ago" poem! And all your new art supplies (although it's sad about the lady with the art place getting robbed), and congrats on your much-deserved award!
Since my life has never been what I'd thought it would be, I really liked the poem. I so love being on the side of whatever I've had to go through to get there, that I'm always a bit surprised it turned out this way! Isn't that the way!
Congrats on the goodies and the blog award. I really like and love your blog too. I just don't always get there.
Wowee wow wow, I cannot believe how many supplies they picked up for you!! I feel bad for the woman who closed her doors, but at least now some of it is in the hands of a person who appreciates it all.
Your poems and writing never cease to amaze me.
THANK YOU for this honor my friend, how I do blush!! I AM horrible, absolutely horrible about passing these things forward though. I WILL try though.
XOXOXOX
Love and hugs,
Lisa
What a great post! Princess for the day! I think your always a princess! Love it!
Love the art supplies. The lady selling the supplies being held up with a nife is just as you said, sad.
It is good with art supplies to experiment.I find that artist's tend to like different things in their art.Mediums are always wonderful if you love texture. What brand are they? I love google don't you? Google is our friend, google is the best of the best on the web. Ok I'm getting carried away. LOLOLOL
You chose wonderful people to pass this onto! :) Thanks again for sharing such a outstanding post with us!

Yep, menopause is a wonderful thing. Well, it is when you are done. Just saying.
Cool on the art supplies, but it's a shame about the robbery. It's dangerous out there isn't it?
Congratulations on your award. I love you blog. My first time here. You are now in my reader and my buddy list. Have a great day. :)
Thanks for visiting my poetry blog and leaving that nice message! I really appreciate it.
I am amazed at how colorful and artistic your blog is! Great eye candy, that's for sure! I so admire anyone who has artistic talent (and am so envious!)
I love your poem! I've already hit menopause and am on the downhill side of it, thank goodness!

(so sad about art sales lady)
Sherrie, I love your poems. You speak from the heart and I totally can relate to the menopausal comment, unfortunately.
I'm a bit sad about the woman who felt that she had to sell her stuff but am glad that you are the recipient since I am sure you will put it to good use. Please keep creating and writing. I enjoy it!
