Friday was a rough day, on the phone with India for over three hours, eight different people tried to rectify my brothers wireless computer issues. Only to be hung up on 5 times, by five dudes. Seriously I don't think any of them knew how to resolve the problem so they just hung up. Of course a thick accent didn't help anything either! How many pardons can one person say anyway? Finally three women in a short progression guided me through. That and a few other kerfuffles made for a nasty morning and afternoon. A poem sums up my day!
It's surprising how a raised voice and rude attitude can affect you to the core. Thankfully a good cup of java can also be of comfort! Anticipation of being with good friends and my children was like hot chocolate for the soul. Seriously I looked old and worn this weekend. I just don't do drama well anymore!
Salvaged
I walked into a landmine
A powder keg of sorts
Stealth anger dormant
Sequestered with supports
A row ignited with a boom
Words rumbled in my midst
Unpleasant angst unfolded
Foul air did persist
Crying jag, apologies
Perception sanitized the mire
Exhaustion proceeded
Extinguishing the fire
Woes of dissension
Lingered weighty on my soul
I honked my horn fervently
Comic relief, to Spackle the hole
Giggles obscure a tear stained face
Preparing for the night to come
A goddess celebration
A Sisterhood to succumb
Love and giddy merriment
Blitzed a joyful mood
Friendship, food and wine
A day peacefully subdued
Nature goddess inspires us with her youthful demeanor. Fit as a twenty year old she hikes all over the world. We are very lucky to have her as a part of our group! The night ended beautifully, me with a light heart void of any ugly thoughts from the day!

now that is a CAKE!
Sounds like a bad start to a day that ended beautifully. Your poem is great! And all your friends look as if they're having fun. I love that grey sweater the birthday girl is wearing!
I'm hating the dark so early.
You guys always have the greatest looking cakes. They so say CELEBRATE
I'm glad that a day that started out so bad ended so nicely. What a fun party and what beautiful friends. I love the cake! It looks like you had a very good weekend...after the computer issues.
I love being a part of your goddess celebrations. Your poem was a perfect expression of your day.
Love
