Happy Paint Party Friday #38, check out other artists participating!
This week I wanted to do a painting similar to my digital Christmas header. It took on a life of it's own and I just went with it!
"Christmas frenzy"
needs one small fix and I should be happy with it!
Wednesday I made soup. I sauteed the veggies, loads of garlic, chicken and raw rice, before adding water and tomato sauce. Normally my soup is really tasty. The soup was made with loads of love for Dear daughter who is fighting a virus, but it wasn't my best!!
Later that night I was revamping my little fairy painting , trying to redo the eyes), everything got messed up and she died, I painted over her. Anyone remember kitchen witches in the eighties? I sewed a really quirky one back in the day! I thought it would be fun to rework the fairy painting into a kitchen angel to watch over my cooking and generate some good energy. I just don't love cooking like I used to so I need all the help I can get!!!
I managed to save some of the fairies patterned outfit for my new angel. I changed her face twice! I'm pretty sure she's finally finished! I hope my kitchen angel watches over me while I do some Christmas baking this weekend!! Wishing you all a creative weekend.

Are kitchen witches that old? Your kitchen angel is charming and I hope she will be good luck for you!
I love your Christmas frenzy - the movement is incredible!! I like the idea of your kitchen angel - we could all do with one some days!
Love it! How awesome that it took on a life of its own!!!
Your kitchen angel is adorable! I love her cupcake hat.
I'm not much of a cook so maybe I should paint a kitchen angel for myself but she'd have to be a heavy duty mama to give me all the help I need!
Oh I love your kitchen angel!!!!!

Love your Christmas frenzy. I also love your work, it's awesome as always. Speaking of soup, why that's a great idea for today and that's what I'm going to do, thanks for the inspiration. Happy weekend.
Love her outfit and your 'Christmas Frenzy'.
What a great idea! Bring back the Kitchen Witches. I forgot about them. That really does show my age.
Love the cupcake fairy. Kitchen Witches were back last year, big time. Didn't realize they were around in the 80s, but then my life was very different then. Blessings, Janet PPF
Love the new Christmas painting, it sort of reminds me of the backgrounds in a Dr. Seuss book, which is always a good thing.
Both pieces are great. Happy PPF!
Beautiful bright colors!!
Hi Giggles!! LOVE your new christmas header AND not only do I adore your kitchen angel with her cupcake hat.. I Adore the concept of changing the witch into an angel! Who wants an mean old witch watching us cook? How DID that ever get popular?? I think it was considered good luck or something... ?
