Paint Party Friday Week 6 Year 2

It's Paint Party Friday once again you can find
other creative bloggers
right here!

I was married a long time,
but I've also been divorced a long time too!
Here's a page from  my art journal!
Trust me I have never said," Gee I wish I'd
have stayed in that relationship longer!"
Most people don't!

Monday

Breakfast
with a friend
wonderful chat
 about life and art
 Part ways
with a hug
Rain clears to sun
another call
Daughters mother in law
has the stomach flu
second time in six weeks
 Pensive  drive

Enter
destination parking lot
 Older lady
slowly pushes
a walking devise
 old man accompanying
 His flailing arms
stiffen with each command
he pounces back and forth
into her body space
obviously enraged
 out of control

She calmly
ambles along
not a peep
seemingly
unaffected
I know better
Internal screams
fill her head
squishing out fear
not his first tirade
not her first encounter
with a mad man

Could have  been me
my heart drops
She's resting on
a bench
he waits
on the road
A short reprieve
for her....
thankfully
a permanent
one
  for me!

Zentangle I started a while back and finished this week!

Monday was a mind boggling day!

Sometimes you just can't wait to get to bed to wipe out the thoughts of the day! Of course when you feel desperate to sleep it's difficult to shut your mind off! Monday  started with great news, a baby being born! As  the day progressed  information trickled in from relatives on yet to be determined health issues.Unfortunately all the people involved are those I hold close and dearly love! It will be a waiting game for the  individuals involved. Funny how life is. Sometimes it all comes at once..... when things feel out of control you just have to play scrabble, do art, pray and wait it out!! The rest of the week I've been in hibernation mode!
Sending good thoughts and love into the universe for those who need it most!
What do you do when filled with worry?

Oh and don't forget to drop by the dear Michelle Allens blog
"Close to my art" she has an awesome contest on!

Good morning Giggles - First off, having a good friend going through a divorce, your journal entry hit home.

Worry - hmm. Good question. I think that helps me the most is 1.a good walk out in nature to clear my head and do some meditation to let the solutions in. 2-Maybe writing it out. 3-Mindless doodling. Loosing myself in a good and detailed doole does wonder for me in stressful situations. I can get lost in the detail and give my overactive brain a break! Have a wonderful weekend . . .

I can so agree about the divorce thing. I couldn't wait to get out of my bad marriage either. Yikes.

I've got my fingers and toes crossed that the medical issues work out well.

Have a terrific day and weekend. :)

Love that journal page, I need to remember that to tell a couple of friends.

Hope you get good news about your friends soon. In the meantime, all you can do is throw yourself into your art and create good wishes for them.

Your Zentangle is amazing! What wonderful patience and persistence you must have.

I love to work out my worries while I'm painting--it's good "therapy!"

Thanks for visiting my blog today! :)

Your Zentangle is fantastic! Wow! I also love your journal page. Letting go is a good philosophy to have, since some times that may be the best thing that happens. :-)

what a thought provoking poem! I wonder if its best to leave or stay in those cases - anyway, fun card too - and obviously great & fun zentangle!

Great pieces, I really like your art!
When I worry, I meditate, practise yoga, exercise and then worry some more!

Love the color on your site...a feast for the eyes. The Zentangle is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Leave your troubles in the tangles. Don't we wish it was that easy.

I am also divorced for 15 years now and it did turn out to be the best thing for me personally, although not the way to go for everyone. I feel for you as far as loved ones in crisis in health. I try to just "forget" but feel guilty for that, and helpless to change the situation. To help you be able not to worry more of the things you love, including good friends with hugs and lots of laughs, too. Watch comedies or other that make you laugh out loud! I just learned about Zentangles in December and love to try the challenges at "I am the Diva" site. She puts out a challenge on Monday. Yours is just amazing! Thank you for you comment on my blog. i have a tab up on my menu bar to see my tangles and ZIA.
ooh! I should paint a cupcake, yum! But then what would I do with it! Hum, let me think? :) thank you for your comments.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment, too. I hope you feel better soon, keep on tangling!

beautiful colors and designs. Tangling helps me to unwind and "forget" for awhile. Thank you for commenting on my site. I have a tab that shows some of my tangles, too. I think your tangle is incredible. Your painting sentiments are so true, as I am divorced 15 years now.

That divorce illustration is brilliant--just the thing I needed to make me smile right now too.

Fabulous post girlie! Taking the hard step to leave an abusive marriagewas the hardest but best thing I did! Worry? I have worked very hard not to worry about things...especially concerning my kiddos! I get great peace from praying and doodling... when I do, it feels like I'm getting everything out of my head and onto paper! This week will be better... happy creating and have a good week!

Wow! Your lettering is gorgeous! I love the "do more what makes you happy" too! Really colorful and bright - and I agree with the others, your poem is brilliant. I was with you for every word.
And I don't know, I tend to worry too - hard to shut off sometimes, right? I wish you and your family well, xo
