Who are you? Paint Party Friday!

This is my contribution for Paint Party Friday!
 Illustration Friday "Beginnings"

Did I ever tell you how glad  I am that you're here? Well I am so grateful for all your kind comments and some of our personal interactions over the years! This  blog  was started with my compiled thoughts and lessons as a legacy for my daughter!  But it took a completely different turn. This week someone close to me said my blog is my ego. Maybe so.... but I feel it's more my soul spread out on the page shared with like minded people kindly willing to read what I have to share!

Originally I just wanted to get my thoughts  and poetry on the page without interruption! It's turned into so much more. Amazing Friendships across the miles that  I never expected. A new direction, creativity I never thought possible,  inner satisfaction and peace that can't be measured!  Only another blogger can truly understand what blogging means to the creative soul! I would love to have read my ancestors blogs to see what their life and thoughts were  back in the day! How about you, would you be interested in discovering the minds and hearts of those in your lineage?

Check this out!!
It's super fast and fun!! 15 seconds!
You can see how all the color changes work so well here!
I love how this quick little flipagram
of my artwork, titled
"Color Delight"
turned out!

I summon the universe to move this year in a better direction.....  not only for me, but everyone!!
This was a challenging week for those around me which can leave me pensive for days on end, even affected my sleep. So my original ideas end up in draft mode.  While I end up in completely different direction!!! One night before bed after a bout of creativity struck I started thinking what three words I'd use to describe myself and others!  Then I realized three words wasn't enough, so I added another!! You know, an abridged version of yourself.....what would that be?
For Beardo I'd say Gentle, Kind, Helpful, Creative.

He is such a kind gentle giant, always loving and helpful, creative in every avenue of life, this man hates confrontation and wouldn't harm a flea.  He's stylish and if I ever need a clear unique perspective I can count on him to have a profound answer!
Cupcake is Ethical, Practical, Generous, Caring.

Always reliable this strong, ethical woman is savvy, practical and efficient in every measure of life. Her generosity and caring of others is upper most in her mind. An amazing cook she is also very creative and able. She was born so grateful and could be heard sincerely saying thank you mommy for everything from as young as two! She thinks of the less fortunate especially single moms constantly!!
I'm Whimsical, Wise, Creative, Nurturing.

I was called mother earth from a very young age, there is a quirky side to me that was more evident when I was young! Long before I attempted to do artwork I was creative in every area of my life, but since childhood I loved to write! I have always nurtured others from as young as six where the teacher was annoyed that I helped another child pick up their dropped crayons! I care deeply about the minds and spirits of young people!
My Bestie is  Creative, Thoughtful, Generous, Loving

Everything my bestie does is so creative, this dreamer can make anything she touches beautiful!  She has an unique wit that's a step above others. I admire this thoughtful   hard working woman's tenacity! Another out of the box thinker I can always get an interesting wise loving perspective from my friend who is also a very nurturing fair soul!

Of course we are all so much more than four words and a small paragraph. What if we had to quickly say who we  are to the world....what would we want people to understand about us? How would others describe you in four words!

How would you sum yourself up in four words..... Who are you in one paragraph....? I'd love to hear in the comments!!

Love your cuppas. Wish I could answer your question of what type person I am, but I don't really know. I'm constantly changing from being a serious person to someone that does crazy things like paint a mustache on myself to greet my husband at the door to a crybaby when sad movies are on....and I can go on an on. I can't describe myself in 4 words. Serious, crazy, crybaby...That's it. HPPF! off to go see the video. Loved your post as always.

Lovely cups. Can't agree more on the importance of coffee. You always make me think when I come here for a visit. So today is four words. I'll say the first four that come to me because in the end they are probably the best ones anyway.. Creative, kind, intuitive and tenacious.

What a wonderful post! The thought that generations to come can learn about us from our blogs is a thought indeed! What we could have learned from past generations if they had todays technology! I think it is wonderful that you put your soul into blogging, as for summing 'me' in a few words,hmmmm.... creative,compassionate,stubborn,free-spirited. :)

Coffee is GOOD! :-)
Thank you for the warm welcome, Sherrie!
I am glad to have met you through blogging and yes, it is difficult to see how otherwise it should be possible to share your thoughts and love for art with a similar community without the internet and a blog!
Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
For the four words I will focus on the positive side, I need to learn that it is ok to be me the way I am and seeing the positive side in me will hopefully grow my confidence and help me learn to solve the difficulties.
So here are some of the goodies of myself
loving, helpful, laughing and creative

The film is so cool! I love the color switches!
Big hug from
Ilona

Love your vibrant cuppas.4 words to define me? I don't know. After years of dictatorship I became a rebel. Maybe rebel is a good word to define me. Last year I went to more protests than I could really imagine I would be and I do think that as long as I can, I will protest against what is wrong.I had my wings back. Now I have to soar.Have a magical day!

Ohh your cups are sooo yummy...eventhough I don´t drink coffee since ages ;) Start the day with a green smoothie, it makes me awake and fit to start the day....but enough of healthy food...your cup is so eyecatching this time!! each and every version is stunning! They would look lovely framed and hang side by side ;) ah and the four words...what a difficult question! I would say loving - unperfectional - funny - curious about life - ...that was the four one that came to my mind first...thing I could go on and on ;)♥ Conny

I loved the flipagram. I don't understand how it works but it's beautiful. I don't know that I have ever tried to analyze who I am. Thinking it over, I'd say creative, responsible, caring, and I can't think of an adjective for this, but I am bound and determined to "fix" whatever is not working (emotional, physical, etc.)
Thanks for the look inside your family. What a neat bunch of people you are! Wish you lived next door!
Oh, and your cups are beautiful.

Awesome cups and love the color changing little movie. Cool! 4 words = offbeat, helpful, intense, kind.

Lovely cups! I agree with you that blogs, especially art-focused blogs are our souls - definitely not our egos.
4 words hmmm...have to think on that one.

Wonderful post Giggles. Apart from the bit about 'Ego' which I don't think could ever be said about you, I agree with everything you say. Since being diagnosed with cancer nearly two years ago, it is blogging, taking part in challenges, visiting such generous and creative artists through the blogs, and everyone's kind and thoughtful comments that has helped me through and kept me positive.
And your posts always give me inspiration and food for thought.

Marvellous coffee cups - what great commercial cups and mugs they would make.

As for four words to describe myself - well I know I would focus on the negative aspects of where I always feel I fall short, so I asked Dev to give me four words. He cheated, and gave four words for art and four words for personal:

Innovative and sharing, Creative, Artistic, Humorous

Peace-loving, always helpful, adventurous, and a laugh-a-minute.

And he can't count either!
Thank you for a great post.

First off you know how much I love your art. Your video is awesome too.
A great way to show off your art.
I do have to have coffee in the morning. It is a must. LOL
People describe me as, fun, lively, loyal and expressive.
I would describe myself the same. However I have a very serious side and I am ethical and honest to a fault. I don't like clutter but my art room seems that way at times.
I really really don't like getting old. I have a 30 something mind set with a 60 something body. LOL
Wishing you a wonderful weekend

Well said Sherrie!! I believe it is our souls that shine thru blogging. I am So with you about coffee and I LOVE your cups and flip vid! The 4 words that came to mind right away are caring, creative, kind and spiritual, although I call myself a girly girl all the time cuz I admit it- I am :) Depending on who else you'd ask I hear the words sweet, honest, fun too. Not everyone knows much about my spirituality. I loved reading everyone else's responses so far. Happy PPF my friend!

Love the cups, love coffee too. I would have loved to see what my ancestords would have put in their blogs! A very unkind statemen t about ego I think. Um four words that describe me. Creative, quirky, caring amd positive. I say the last one as I have been around negative people over the last week and it almost has driven me crazy to the extent that I have given up trying to counter their statements. Now I just want to withdraw from them totally!

I would LOVE to read a blog written by my grandmother. How awesome that would be. Your idea of a blog is the right idea....part of one's soul. Wish I had a coffee cup like yours. xo

Carola Bartz said...

Four words? I have to think about that first I'm afraid.
Your coffee cup is gorgeous - a good coffee in the morning is something so wonderful.
The ego in the blog? I don't believe so. Soul? yes, certainly.

The cup is beautiful. . .thank you I shall have one. I love the way you have named your people. I recently found out that my name, Janet, means God's Gracious Gift. . .people see my light (I would add this word) and ask where I go to church, etc. I don't think I could come up with better. Blessings, Janet PPF

Love the Cups!!!!and I so agree with the statement...no other way to start a day correctly. If I had to describe myself in 4 words they would have to Creative, Loving, Kind and Giving. All of which make me naturally Nurturing.I like who I am :)

I just asked my Alex to sum me up in 4 words: cool, bubbly, caring and loving!! He's such a love, but yes he's right I'm full of love and can't give enough of it to my dearest ones, it bubbles over! You too dear friend are full of love, your daughter has been brought up with lots of love, she sounds like such a wonderful caring soul!
I love your funky art dear friend and that cup of coffee is fabulous!

I think your words to describe yourself are spot on! I am creative, loving, open + honest. And maybe my blog is a little bit about ego (I am honest enough to admit that!) but it is so much more than that - being creative, making connections, living honest + being open. I think your blog is so inspiring + I love visiting it. You are wise + creative + giving!
And I totally agree the only way to wake in the morning is with a coffee (or three!!)
Have a great week xx

Sherrie, I deeply enjoy and value your writings. There is a mixture of raw honesty, boldness, and humor in them. As for your art I love the bright colors that you use. They are so much you.I know many of us have been wrongly led to believe that knowing oneself is egoistical. But no, it is totally wrong and we must know who we are: In four words if I have to describe myself I'm Honest, Empathetic, Sensitive and Pensive. Most of the time my art is the result of all this.

I would love to read my grandmother's blog. She came to the US at 16 by herself from Ireland. I would love to know why and what she did. I have a few of the answers but I would love to know so much more.

I would describe myself as kind, caring, creative and intuitive. This was a great question. I always leave your blog with something to think about and lots of inspiration. Have a wonderful week.

oh, my friend... i'd have a hard time describing myself in a BOOK, let alone 3 words!! That's just how fucking complex i am... hehehee... it's how i roll, baby. Love the cups, and i LOVED catching up here. My lord, Cupcake is adorable, as is her gentle giant. Lovely Christmas pics. Oh, and your brother isn't hard on the eyes either. ;-) You are obviously a lovely person who cherishes the important things in life. And let me ask you this one question: does it matter at all if your blog is your ego? If it gives you a sense of expression and connection and love with other REAL human beings on the planet - isn't it all good? Yes, m'dear Watson... it's all good. :-) Thanks for sharing so much of yourself, girl. xox

Totally agree, I am a coffee lover too and there is no better way of starting your day!
I love your cup, so cheerful and colourful!
