their stress. Being forced to ingest these horrific images
for even a few seconds is akin to harassment!

if you're genuinely seeking resolve. However over

to figure out how important that is to them!

the arrogant, the oblivious, the naive, the messenger,
the drinker, the educated and uneducated!
I wonder how many people ever go through their
social media and have regrets! I wonder if they
looked at it with a different perspective if they
would be pleased with what they said!

As for my blog, outside of spam there has
only ever been one comment that I held back
from posting because I thought the person
may have regrets. It wasn't a personal dig,
but a rather a less flattering passionate rant.
Sure enough I received an email to please
delete their comment as they had a lapse in
judgement! I assured them I knew it was just a
bad moment that I held it back and
considered deleting it!

There are so many good people out there.
Most have really really good intentions!
Maybe they don't realize what they are saying
could affect them down the road! Many of
the older ones are more cautious! It's the
young ones I really worry about!

I'm not sure if I've ever had regrets about something I've put on social media. I am a social media coach so I'm very, very conscious of what I put out there publicly. I keep my particularly polarizing views to the confines of my home, family and friends, and use social media for positive an supportive pursuits wherever I can. Plus, I thankfully passed my teenage and early twenties before social media existed...so got most of my super embarrassing and poor-judgement days out of the way without online evidence.

So true! I cringe at times when I read some things online. So far I don't think I have anything I have regrets about saying online. I seldom discuss personal things.

Some very good advice there. Pity more people would not take it on board. There is so much bother caused when people post things they later regret. Brilliant drawings. I really like how you use colour.

I LOVE all your delightful birds!! Very thoughtful post. There's a reason I am hardly ever on FB and really only go on it for art reasons. Your art is amazing this week and as always your words hold lots of wisdom. I'm sure that I have said many things online that I probably shouldn't have but then again that's the way I've lived my whole life . Now I really must get ready to go to work instead of enjoying all of this great art today.
Lovely bird art collection this week Giggles! Since you ask, I have taken at least one post down, I was gossiping about one of my closest friends and months later took it down in case she ever saw it. It wasn't mean, but just too personal and she is intensely private, not that she reads my blog but you can never know.
I am not an outspoken person and would rarely, if ever, put something on line that was offensive in any way ... but in this political atmosphere I have stepped out into the open more, not just to vent my anger and show my pain, but to try to bring about some awareness and maybe rally some resistance ... we really can't let our country become a disaster. It is hard for me to put controversial material out there and even harder when I get a nasty response, but I feel we have to be honest and support our values when they are at risk. Your words are wise and I take them to heart ... I hope I haven't crossed the line, but I have to follow my heart.

Yes I had a personal blog once and I felt I was telling more than I should on it just because it was what people wanted to read....it wasn't good for me in the end. Now I just post my art and a few humourous observations.

wise words, I keep my personal views personal and stayed away from social media until recently, for art reasons. Lovely and fun birds!
With the awful political, racial, and other issues inundating the USA, Facebook turned into a battle ground between a few of my friends. I've always been a moderate with a holistic point of view, so I quickly realized it wasn't worth it to try and articulate points about how all sides have faults. Therefore, I deleted the few comments I made. I now focus on posting pictures of my artwork, my photographs, and Bible verses that I feel speak to current issues. (I don't write opinions, so they're open to interpretation.) I've had a couple of people thank me for the latter, and say they find my posts refreshing amongst many of the chaotic posts these days. Just like you, I try to make a difference through my posts and foster peace amongst people worldwide. Blessings to you and your family, my dear blogging friend.

I would consider it a blessing if you ever see something I have posted that was too personal and you let me know. I mean it. I have friends who post on FB from their vacation sites. I try to be very positive on SM. even when I am not feeling that way. I read some things on line and think, "OMG how could they have written that" I know some people do regret what they write and once it is out there it is out there, even if they try to delete it. I really love this post. In addition I love these birds. Your art always brings such joy and happiness. Oh and thank you for "the most improved" comment. That means a lot to me.

I love all your colored birds and wise words as usual. I think you must have been a counselor in a past life. You are right about watching our words. There have been times when someone has "attacked me, and because of the surprise,I lash back and say something I wish I hadn't. I did criticize an old friend on-line one time and she was terribly hurt and it took a couple of years to stop feeling awkward in our relationship. So ,yes, I certainly learned my lesson-the hard way.
I don't know why my comments sometimes disappear! Anyway, I love your variety of birds this week and take to heart your wise words.

Yes, I am sometimes amazed at the personal information some people share although it can be interesting to see the occasional personal detail on an art blog, that helps to make it alive, I think.
Your art here is tremendous, Sullivan at the top is great, with marvellous colours and a sweet bird in the red forest, and the Dee Dees and Harmonds (!) are fun colourful birds. Do you see them in your garden, haha!

I love the little white patterns you drew on some of your birds. They look like a special kind of feathers. I never regretted anything I put online. Mostly because I rarely just write something without thinking, but also because I'm very aware of who might be reading it. I hardly share any personal stuff on social media. I give my opinion about things that matter a lot to me, but I'm very careful not to talk too much about friends or family. I wouldn't want anyone else to talk about me either. But you're right, some people just don't have any filter at all. It makes me uneasy to read some of the things people post, and I often wonder whether they realize they're sharing way too much. On the other hand, for some people the internet may be their only outlet for things that bother them... If they can find support with like-minded people, f.i. in a closed group, I think it can be a good thing....

Hello, I think you have covered the range of possibilities which may cause regrets (or not?) I agree, it is often the younger folks who post impetuously. I remind myself that social media is a forum read my friends, colleagues and STRANGERS! I read a suggestion about posting that was helpful. Decide what it is you want to share, why you are sharing it and stick to it. The rest can be discussed with friends or family. At least, that's my opinion. Happy PPF.

Gorgeous colourful artwork! I always thought I'm careful about how much I reveal online but if you're on Facebook, you might know about the 'memories' they post. Once in a while I get a shock when a 'memory' comes up that I can't even remember posting! It's like I was a different person lol!xx
