The last few days I've been under the weather, my sleep is totally discombobulated, thanks to horrible moans (hormones). Not been traveling to my computer much these days either. Hmmm I wonder if there is fire in the ire of them there horrible moans? (Said with a Beverly Hillbillies accent) So here is my poem for the " Sunday Scribblings"
Boob Tube
Traveling the tube
Of disgust
Young women
Exploited
By men
For photos
The Children suffer
Long term affect
Unknown
Blatant
Mental illness
Ignored
Buried under
Sensation
And addiction
Rarely visited
With accuracy
Left Unreported
“Click”
Politicians
Degradation
Insinuation
Disregarded
Impending need
Of economic
Stimulation
“Click, click, click
Starving children
War still raging
More unrest
The globe
Incensed
People dying
Still no
Relent
Click
Million dollar kid
Internet prodigy
Lives minimal
Ringo
old now
Launches
Album
I contemplate
Aboriginals
Tearful lady
Suffered
In residential schools
Sex abuse
Beatings
Years later
Still waiting
On compensation
Darkness
Reigns in
The unknown
Diatribes continue
With truth
Unexposed
Click, click, click
Searching for a giggle
Composed, I seethe

This is well written...and oh my gosh, it makes me realize why I don't watch t.v.!!!
Beautiful job on the mirror, and a very powerful poem!!
Great job on the mirror and I'm really sorry those darn hormones are beating you down. HUG
Your poem is sad but true. I watch TV alot due to boredom but I do see what's going on.
Feel better. XXOO
The mirror is wonderful. I love the colors. The poems is equally as fun. Cartoons are always playing on our TV and I am always playing on the computer. I'm surprised that lines from SpongeBob don't show up undetected in my stories. Peace.
mental illness- I guess you must have been watching American idol
Excellent and exciting poem! Me thinks you should stick with Animal Planet!
Your Mirror is Magical! xoxo
Just love this minimulist style of writing you use in your recent poems. So different and very effective. Loved it.
Hey kiddo:
Just was reading below catching up on lots of your blog. I'm thinking the influence on this mirror is Valentines Day. Does Canada celebrate that one? If not, then it is in the air flowing north. Big smile.
Sorry to hear your horrible moans are still affecting you so much. Time for them to let go and settle down.
I like this mirror! I picked one up at a yard sale, too, and have been meaning to paint it. Thanks for the inspiration!
;)
Is there no limit to your creativity? You are talented.
Loved the poem. The imagery is fantastic.
what a gorgeous creation Sherrie, but I can't expect any less with your talent oozing in gallons!!
I love the words.. :)
Peace, Kai xx
