Sunday Scribblings this week is "Confess" interesting concept,
but I'm pretty straight and blunt so it's not exactly something I'm familiar with.
I guess this subject depends on how you look at it!
I must confess I am not as smart as I used to be
Not as confident, pretty, or available.
I’m not as witty, clean, fun, or goofy
Time waxes and wanes
I confess, I’m not as fast, driven or
Capable as I used to be.
Oh Well!
I’m not as helpful, emotionally weak, angry
Willful, wasteful, or reckless as I used to be.
I’m not as vein, fashionable, agile
Clandestine, or cocky as I used be!
Whatever!!
I must confess I’m not as judgmental,
Aggressive, gallant, gullible, or proud
As I used to be!
THANK GOD!

I just LOVE this! I think I can relate to most of what you said, but then I was never was particularly pretty!

I think the bad things you are no longer far outweigh any good things you no longer are. That's a good balance.

Good confessions! I wonder what it is about aging that releases much of the 'stuff' with which we survive the earlier years?
