Sunday Scribblings " Shame"

Sunday Scribblings prompt is " Shame" This poem speaks for itself.

Dimished

Encapsulated shame

Festers

Around her waist

Choking the lungs

Of trust

Buried

With the memory

Of that

Nineteen sixty six

Extra large

Dairy queen

Ice cream cone

That soothed

The trauma

Of a monsters

Paws

Roaming

Over a

Protesting

childs

Ten Year old

Buds

It almost hurts me to read this (But that's a credit to depth of your writing)! Shame can be an almost tangible emotion, especially to a child.

omg giggs. so touching and chilling.
I hope this isn't a personal reflection.
i don't think that this is u in the photo..
(if it's something obvious I am missing.. I am just SO loopy lately) so often victims feel shame instead of rage.
your writing is always amazing.
xoxo
