Paint Party Friday, A Pleasant week

Sadly I managed to lose a whole blog post this week!! Somewhere in cyber space my story has taken flight, so I am late posting. In some countries Paint party Friday is far past and I am just a lonely straggler! I did manage to finish my three little acrylic owls!!

Thankfully this week has had some wonderful moments  of peace, love and joy! Like when I received the  sweetest  Christmas cards all the way from France because I won Cathrine Constance blog giveaway!!These little angels are even cuter in person if that's possible... I love them so much I don't think I can send them to anyone!!  They're just too cute, I may just have to frame them!! Please visit her adorable blog, you won't be disappointed!! You can purchase your own cards in her etsy shop here!
Cards made by Catherine Constance can be purchased in her etsy shop!
My photo books finally arrived a month after submitting them!  One for sample artwork, one with a few family  stories. One with a combination of art and poetry. It's nice to have these twenty page books, however the black linen binding isn't my favorite and the  dpi was low on a few of my old photos, so some of the pictures aren't the clearest! I do like having a compilation of my work in hard copy though, plus  the color is vibrant and spot on!!

After three weeks  of waiting I inquired about my order, it took another week to receive it. Not the best service and hard to get hold of them! I used a groupon making it fairly reasonable, but I  wouldn't recommend this company because of the wait time and ugly binding.
We also had an amazing meal with my daughters former boss who put on a five course spread that lasted six hours!!  We rolled home!!!
Cupcake and Beardo are on a Paul McCartney  hangover right now. They saw his Vancouver concert, and  bought the tee-shirts.....three of them each!! They said it was the the best show they have every been to! And they've seen many of the older artists, Dylan, Cohen, Stones, Willy, Neil Young,  and loads of youngs ones too! Concerts are their none guilty pleasure!! They saw Bruce Springsteen the next day as the concerts were their Christmas gift to each other along with a hotel stay in town!! I gave them money to shop and they had the best time ever and felt they made history doing it!!

Outside of how busy this week has been, it was so pleasant!! But I need to get crackin because the dust bunnies are squawking and have threatened to unionize and take over the house!!!

Sorry I didn't have time to rewrite the story that vanished!! Sometimes things just aren't meant to be!!  How was your week on a scale of one to ten?

Yes, I missed you, so a nice start to my early morning to read your post. Your owls have such calm and peaceful eyes
What a great idea to have your art in photo books. They will be treasured by all your family.
How's my week been? Happy 9.5 per cent of the time and we try to put family health worries on one side and keep positive.
I'm lucky that we have not been flooded in our region. Over the past two weeks so much of UK has been under water - great swathes of the country. The ground is so waterlogged with our once-in-a-century rainfall all year that there is nowhere for the rain to go. People all over have lost their homes and in some cases lives, so we have nothing to complain about, and keep our good wishes for them.
Sorry, didn't realise that would be so long. XXX

I love the idea of the books. It must be fun to sit and page through them.

My week was about nine...pretty good and just a little bit of stress.

Great idea for the art books! My DIL has done several album of baby pixs and they came out great. I was wondering how well art work would come out! Love your Christmas Owls! Great colors!

cute cards from Constance! And what a treat those photo books must be, too bad you're not totally happy with them. I'm all about the food, bring Christmas on!

Yay, Giggles, you made it to the party!!! I'm sorry the internet ate your other post but this one is fantastic and just chock full of interesting stuff. I love the owls, especially the eyes. I don't know how you manage to do such beautiful eyes every time on every living thing you paint. And your book is wonderful. Don't worry about the cover. Maybe it's possible to alter it, but I don't think it would be necessary unless you really want to.
Happy weekend.

Hey Ms. Giggles,
Sorry to hear of the lost post. Blogger does some weird #*^% sometimes. About a week ago it lost my blog one day. I climbed the walls trying to figure what to do. Then magically it returned. Weird I tell ya!
At least you have your owls, which are cute and they can stay up late and wonder "WhOOO?" took your post.

Love the angels you won as well. So it all evens out in the end.

My week you ask? Meh! I could have enjoyed Bruce or Paul concert. Otherwise my week was So so. Kids are sick, husband sick, but knock on wood, I'm beaming with health!

You take care.

Your photobooks look great! Sorry to hear you're not so happy with the binding. Is it a well-known company? Those owls are fantastic. Are you making them into Christmascards? You should! Annoying thing about the blogpost. For my week one word: busy! Next week: even busier! Week after: hopefully relaxed and peaceful .... :-)
