Evolution of the Snowman series

What started off as one snowman turned into a creative
digital series of fun over the season! All of these have
been posted on my instagram but I thought it might
be nice to share them on my blog!

Guilty Snow woman...." No I did not steal a shortbread before dinner."
I always admire the artists who can stick to a myriad of
similar characters to express their creativity!
Those such as Tascha,
Or Will Charlesworth of Inquisitive Cows
Or Annie Bellamy
and Leekrek
They  tend to keep to a theme while I am all over the place!
" The Cleaning lady" melts at the mere mention of work!
One dear snowman led into another as I sat watching
Christmas movies and doodling on my
sketchbook express app. The day after
I dyed my hair I looked in the mirror, startled at how
dark my hair was. It's the same colour I've used
for years, but  it needed a few more washes
 to fade!
That moment you look in the mirror and realize you dyed your hair too dark!
A few distressing things happened over Christmas that
will eventually end up as blog post, and  this
snowwoman felt she needed to do a little whining  wining....
Wining.... didn't have one but sure felt like having one!!

Even though Cupcake kept the cookie baking to a minimal
they seemed to be calling my name....or should I say following
me around... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
Which led to the " stalker cookie" following the snowman!!

Cookie stalker! Ever have cookies following you around?  Yeah me too...
After a loud Family dinner full of frenetic nonsense
with the ting of wine glasses breaking every half hour
my energy was depleted!! That's how this
dear snowlady was born!!
Energy Robber....hands up robbed of Christmas energy!
After receiving unfavorable news a few days
before Christmas Cupcake  accidentally wore
her skirt to work inside out! Since it was so
busy she didn't notice it for quite sometime!!
Busy day at work with your skirt inside out!!
Bulky the snowman was pretty much how I
felt after three different turkey dinners and
too much junk!
Feeling bulkier than normal after Christmas! Hmm wonder why?
Beardo and Cupcakes Christmas card
Christmas was so odd this year...really really odd.
I will say I'm so glad we put up our decorations
early and enjoyed the spirit  in November and
the beginning of December...
because I am still processing
and perplexed by the
last two weeks!
So onward and upward into next year!

My heart is with those struggling hoping
their New Year is filled with more
happy moments than sad! My last
Snow woman of the season!
Happy New Year one and all! Thank you
for all your support this past year!
I leave you with this link to a very funny
comedy sketch done by my dear friends
significant others talented daughter!
It brought me some much needed giggles
when they were most needed!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Alike Cameron comedy Sketch!

Hi Giggles, I am sorry that the past few weeks were not as they should be but they definitely led to a wonderful snowman series. I have to say each and everyone are a favorite of mine. I

I totally know how it feels to have that cookie following you around. Thankfully, the last one left the house yesterday.

I hope that this next year will be filled with only good things for you and Cupcake and Beardo. Happy New Year to someone I have never met but consider a special friend.

I so much love your snowman "series" with the amusing captions.
Cookie stalker - yes there is one cookie calling my name right now! - wait a minute.................yum..................
Love the Guilty Snowwoman's hat and buttons,
love "Energy Robber" - oh yes! - love her antlers,
and Mr. Bulky is not too bulky, not compared to some people here, haha!
These are all great, what a marvellous children's book they would make, you could almost get it published just like it is, so much fun.
Happy 2016, Giggles!

Happy new year dearest giggles. I, like you, do not stick with a theme. I like it that way but do admire those who focus on one subject. I have to come to accept this about myself most of the time. This month i am painting 30 paintings. I thought a theme might be a good idea. I chose expressing the wildness within because it leaves a lot of room for interpretation. hahaha i guess i don't like being pinned down.

Oh Giggles your snow people are adorable, with all of their different characters coming through. If it's any consolation I'm always all over the place with my art too. I just wish I could find something and stick with it for a series.
Maybe 2016 will be the year? I'm sorry that you have had a stressful time... I think this time of year can really highlight problems. I wish you nothing but the best for this coming New Year with lots of creativity thrown in.
xoxo

Your snowman series is so cute! I was in a bah, humbug mood again this year...too much commercialism for me. But I did manage to have a great Christmas...but I ate too much, too. It's just part of the celebrating.

I love how you illustrated all of your experiences into drawings of snow(wo)men. Great way to look back on it. I do hope all is sorted out now and the stress of the last 2 weeks is gone. Have a happy year dear Sherrie, and keep those characters of you coming!
