Book Meme

I was tagged by the Mimi Lenox the peace globe goddess, actually she's the queen and she has her own castle and everything! Thanks for thinking of me Mimi!

Rules: Pass it on to five other bloggers.
Tell them to open the nearest book to page 46.
Write out the fifth sentence on that page, and also the next two to five sentences.

The closest book, not the coolest, or the one you think will sound the best.
THE CLOSEST.

Acts of Faith by Ivanla Vanzant is sitting arms length with The souls companion on a side table by my computer. The pages have no numbers, so I counted to 46, the date was March 30th post, the very day I started my blog two and a half years ago. Coincidence or synchronicity? Either way there is some good advice in these words!
This is p. 46, sentence five and the following five sentences:

3. Don’t be fooled by appearances

4. Plan prayerfully; prepare purposefully; proceed positively; pursue persistently.

5.Be willing to be wrong

6.Be flexible

7.Do the best you can where you are with what you have

8.Be prepared.

Seems like this is fitting advice to go by during a world of unrest!

Lucy, Queensize, forgetfulone, Gemma, and Rosey please join me in doing this meme!

I've done this one - but didn't have nearly as great a book at my side as you did! Good post with lots to practice.

# 7 is my personal favorite. This is a great meme. My writing class is actually doing poetry/art journals for their final semester projects. It's amazing how many kids, who don't excel in other areas, are inspired by art journaling. Not necessarily particularly talented artists either, just kids who have need to create. It's so rewarding for me to see them find a medium for this self-expression. I think this meme would be a fabulous prompt for their last entries. Thank you for the inspiration!

I had to look and my closest book is one on how to use Comcast. I doubt it even has 46 pages! Yikes, I'm glad I'm not doing this!

You had a much better book close at hand, than I did...
Those are fitting words for today's world - thanks for passing them on!

I did this back in February, only then we were asked to go to page 123! I guess the change in rules is down to the Chinese Whisper effect.

Your book opened at a really interesting page. What great advise.

Rosey mentioned she'd been tagged. She was a little confused at first, but I've promised to help her, so watch her space!

I'd love you to read mine. My name should link to it
