Sunday Scribblings Essential

Sunday Scribblings prompt this week is " Essential"

Saturday night we visited theses adorable munchkins!
One taking a couple of lone steps should be walking sometime this week!
My friends have a story to tell full of intrigue mixed with adversity, mystery and  betrayal. Despite the conflict there is resilience, resurgence and Karma. In their forty years they have lived a life stranger than fiction! Here's a plea that they share with the world their life as parents of disabled children who passed away.  Those who invasively affected their lives and how they handled such heartbreak. Still  keeping their children's memory alive while raising soon to be one year old twins!  In the face of the ulitmate betrayal this amazing couple have always taken the high road. I am so proud to call them friends. I adore their twin girls, and openly talk about their two angels now deceased, knowing we have all learned so much from their short time on earth.

Choices

It’s essential
to worship peace
With purpose
Knowing karma
Skips behind
Animosity
Waiting to pounce

Sunday Scribblings " Trust"

Happy Birthday Gypsy Goddess
Girls just wanna have fun!
Laughter feeds the soul!
We did piles of that on Friday night as we celebrated another Goddess celebration. Two of our clan are missing....but there is another celebration right around the corner. More fun to be had! The birthdays seem to come quicker each year....scary!

Sunday Scribblings prompt this week is" Trust." I can only say that I have deep seeded trust issues stemming from childhood, therefore I don't readily trust. Only a lengthy post could do this subject justice. So I opted to do a poem and share a goddess celebration instead!

People I have met for only one time seem to share their deepest darkest secrets. I often wonder how they know I'll not divulge what I'm told.

Trust

I hold your secrets to my breast

An honor you’ve bestowed

I carry all your burdens

Sometimes a heavy load

At times I decline to hear

Things that could dismay

Please respect my precincts

With ethics in the fray

Trust that I implement

A gift sometimes assumed

If you negate my borders

Adverse cost can be presumed

Concealing a confidence

Generously I contain

Trust bequeathed by others

An honor I sustain!

Sunday Scribblings Left Unsaid

In a few days my brother will be forty seven

I plan to do a tribute to him then!

For now this is my contribution to Sunday Scribblings!

This weeks Prompt is " What is the future of the planet?"

Left unsaid

There are so many things I need to say

but I can’t

There are things I worry about

for good reason

and others needlessly

My brother has a polyp

on his esophagus

he’s never smoked a day in his life

his voice is raspy now

for several months

they say it’s fine

he’s omitted essential information

during doctor visits

he lives a comfortable life

but it’s been tough

he has worked hard

played hard

his body is pristine on the outside

well preserved

at a cost

he is young for his mid age

he was an orphan at thirty

everything has been about the external

while the internal

has been nutritionally fed

it’s been neglected too

so when you ask me

to talk about

the future of the planet

I can’t tell you that

I'm not a psychic

I’m not a scientist

Not usually a pessimist

but here’s the thing

my dad died of

cancer of the esophagus

Right now

I can only hope

and pray

that the planet is fine

that my only

sibling

my brother

is too!
