They say ....I think

1. Travel :: is a lot less stressful in the snow knowing my tires are in good shape.
2. Expensive ::things I’m drawn to like a crow to glitz…where are my millions?
3. Backspace :: resides a huge bum…which should sport a sign, WIDE LOAD!.
4. Traffic noise ::is rare around here….but did you know I was deaf in one ear?
5. Now see here :: Missy….you need to clean up all the stuff unloaded from the closet before Wednesday…..THANKFULLY it’s now completed!
6. Vegetables ::are so healthy I must eat more of them during the season of plenty! But why are they not as tasty as brownies damn it!
7. Chat ::I did Saturday night at a party. People I only see once a year it was nice to catch up.
8. Your calling ::to ask me to a steak dinner with only men...manly men...I DON'T THINK SO! I need brains not just brawn thank-you!
9. Weekly :: Blogs get harder to write during the season, and even more difficult to read.

10. Oh! ::I wished I hadn’t danced Saturday night on my bad knee…. I am now hobbling with sound affects…..Not a pretty sight, hearing a fat lady grunt in pain while she drags her leg…..hope they don’t put me in a home!! Lol

This is a letter my friend wrote and had published in our provincial newspaper! It's the follow up to number 5 on my mutterings!

My son and his friend have visited many countries with few problems and when they return home to Vancouver they feel safe and very comfortable.

My son tells me they travel smart, know the ways of the world and believe taking transit to downtown Vancouver and walking to their pub of choice is safe.

But on Friday night they went downtown, where my son was punched, kicked, thrown to the ground, choked and robbed.

His friend stood by helplessly with a knife held to his throat.

This is not an isolated incident. When did we give our city away? How can we take it back?

Unconscious Mutterings week 303 they say.....I think!

1. Please stop ::judging people from the outside in, we’re more than the bodies we reside in!
2. Move over :: and make room for each car to travel with ease.
3. Sweet as ::pie, my daughter when she’s at her best!
4. Bet ::you didn’t know I despise wearing socks, and my black jeep is 16 years old!
5. Mad about ::my friends son getting jumped, robbed and beat up by five men, while his friend stood watching with a knife held to his throat. This young fella traveled the world with no incidence of violence and here on his own turf this happens…..you bet I’m mad!
6. It’s over ::so get busy finding the best part of yourself and enhance it!
7. Intend to ::be more charitable when ever possible
8. Blame ::only yourself for past mistakes!
9. Jefferson ::Bill Jefferson Clinton
10. Heartless ::is the person who can walk past the homeless without acknowledging they may be mentally ill, or a child of abuse!

Unconscious mutterings -They say......I think!

1. In love:: with words, art and my kids, some may think its lame, but it seriously fills me up!
2. Be my guest: at a coffee shop or a pub, I just don’t entertain much anymore!
3. Number one: thing is my daughter, then everything falls in behind that!
4. Swallowed whole: pot sticker the other night, just kidding I chewed it!
5. 50 percent: awake is what I am most days!
6. Made in :Canada…my choice of what I want to buy…We have stringent regulations and fairly decent union wages! Oh and health care!
7. Supplement :life with more money please..
8. Right for ::asking….I am learning to ask for what I want… seems to be mundane things, like help with housework, not having to cook, carrying things upstairs, that’s all! I like to be freed up from those things…still bogged down with it though.
9. Endless ::love is what I feel inside….I truly do. Wish I felt this way when I was young. Funny thing is I always thought it was doing…now I know it’s actually just being! Does that make any sense? Although I do thoughtful things for the kids daily…because I want to and they appreciate me and reciprocate. I know I wouldn’t do it if I felt abused or taken advantage of!
10. Ceramic :: fun mugs, plates and vases made my Mary Naylor are my favorite and the whimsy and vibrant colors makes me joyful. How many people do you know who feel joy having a cup of coffee out of a fun mug? Oh yeah probably lots!

My daughter managed to score five boogie boards that a business left behind. Nobody wanted them! Imagine that. I want to make some funky tables out of them! I covered up the company name, which I think may have gone under. These ones were used as display boards going up the stairs. So there is a small hole in each one where they adhered to the wall. I figure we'll use those holes to screw the legs to the top.My son-in-law will get in on the action too! It's very exciting...but I am still in the imagining stage! Let you know when the first one is completed!

1. House ::my solace, a place of love and joy which needs some maintenance.
2. Think :: Too much, every moment I am awake, rarely quiet this o brain of mine
3. Clot ::I worry about phlebitis because my grandmother died of it.
4. Believe me:: it has taken many years and I am finally teachings others how to treat me. I haven’t always had the greatest boundaries. I’m working on it!
5. Fumigation :: I saw two flying ants in my house at different times this summer. I’m wondering if they snuck through my window screens, or through the void weather stripping, and whether I should feel alerted.
6. Bore ::is never for me, I need mental stimulation 24/7. If you are a bore, then you need to stay clear of me!
7. Luck ::is on my side because I am a WINNER!!
8. Patient ::I am an extremely patient person, beyond most. I’ve been known to wait in my car forever for the kids. I draw, write and listen to music to pass the time.
9. Tremors :: are always scary!
10. Pickles ::Vlasic are the only way to go now, preferably dill with garlic!

1. Month to month :: I pay my bills reluctantly!

1. Crankiness ::intolerable, just as whining is too!
   
2. Backpack :: is a nemesis to children, too many heavy text books cause future long term back issues! A bone of contention with me!
   
3. Clone ::Rhymes with one of my favorite words....hone!
   
4. High ground ::I like to stay on high ground when it comes to dissension.Sometimes difficult when you see injustice!
   
5. Dreams :: Are always on my mind, of creativity, abundance, and joy!
   
6. Lovingly :: I look at what I have with so much gratitude, knowing I am lucky woman despite the adversity I have faced in the past.
   
7. Mistake ::I have made many but know it's possible to be turned into something positive
   
8. Carson ::Daly looks odd since he lost so much weight. I prefer him meatier, his face looks too long now!
   
9. Errand :: When I was a child I walked to the store for a neighbor because her own child refused. Upon return her daughter got a pop cycle and I got nothing! That kind of thing happened to me a lot!
   
10. Dozen :: Eggs is something I always have in the fridge, my daughter has over a dozen new relatives since she got married in February ! We've been enjoying all of them this past weekend!
    

Unconscious Muttering #8 Jaynas Angel

This is my Eighth Jayna's Angel "Flouncy" she dances to her own tune, loves the arts. She tries to balance things best she can, but on occasion she'll forget to comb her hair.All my angels were done ages ago just sharing them when I don't have any photos! Oops I didn't crop that very good I see the feet of another angel in that photo!

1. Intimidated :: by technology and learning photo shop
2. Brush :: strokes on the canvas make me happy….sing that to the tune of a John Denver song “ Sunshine on my Shoulders”
3. Masquerade:: Life is a masquerade, if I dared to expose all that is never spoken, I’d have a juicy book! I love Halloween too!
4. Procedure:: I need to learn more art procedures!
5. Tattoos:: Love looking at them, never want one! I appreciate the artists, love the watching Miami ink, just have no desire. More into piercings. I think I may have had those stretched ears kids have today, if I was young. Then I’d put the big jewels in them! Who knows I could do it now! Wouldn’t that just shock Pepper….you reading this Pepper?…. You think menopause makes me crazy….wait till I get those stretched ears….big purple gems…I can see me now….only old lady outside of Africa with stretched ears. I used to threaten to do crazy things to discipline you, remember....... Never this drastic though! OOOOOHHHH I feel it…… Sherries got her groove on!!!
6. Square: I love square any thing, love the shape, even though I have never been known to be a square!
7. Tuck:: toilet paper tucked into your underwear for the world to see trailing out of your dress or pants is not fun! Been there done that!
8. Boyfriend:: Blaaaaah…sounds like trouble!!!….my Girlfriend who had a stroke four years ago has a new one, and I’m thrilled for her. As for me, it would take up too much time. Now if he was a clean giggler with a bundle of buckaroonies and willing to spoil me, I may consider it!
9. Badass:: anything HTML I just love learning computer lingo and how to change things up! Takes forever!
10. Thousand:: put an “S” on that, it’s what I would love right now…a windfall, thousands of dollars, actually make that a millions now that we’re speaking moola! A few million would fix me up! And if I could add a few more million to that I could help a few friends too! Ya.....note to self buy lottery ticket tomorrow! First thing I’d buy…..you got it……GLASSES, and an automatic car, do convertible mini coopers come in automatic???. Standard is killin me knee!

Fills her purse with joy. A bit timid she hides behind pretty clothes. She likes to step out into the world but is extremely cautious waiting for that perfect moment. Pretty content she much prefers time alone! I can relate!

A few posts back I presented a wall of Jayna's Angels, but now I'd like to introduce them individually. This is my sixth Angel Stormy, she loves to whirl away her worries; Stormy enjoys creative adventure but is often sabotaged when people take advantage of her sweet nature. She'd like to learn better boundaries so she can hang on tighter to her own dreams!

I fully understand Stormy, sometimes it's so hard to juggle everything you need and want to accomplish while pleasing others. It can be even more disappointing when you know it wasn't fully appreciated! I'm learning to dissuade my guilt to follow some of my own dreams. Unfortunately, some may feel snubbed, housework may get behind. But oh well.....I'm taking charge of my dreams! Only so much time in the day! Woman are known to wear the weight of the world upon their shoulders! Along with self doubt!
